PIANISSIMO windshield adapted to the Sennheiser MKH 8030/8040 (or 8050) MS pair.
The suspension has been completely redesigned to take account of the 8030’s great sensitivity in the (very) low end.
The use of MZF II filters (70Hz, +18dB/oct) is STRONGLY recommended for two reasons:
- the microphone “block” becomes longer and heavier (better vibratory inertia)
- very good “anti-rumble” filtering values.
It may even be necessary to add a softer, higher-frequency filter, depending on the desired protection against handling noise.
